Mozilla has launched a new version of the popular Firefox browser for personal computers as well as for Android phones and tablets. Upgrading from Firefox 6.0 to 7.0 is not quite as exciting as some previous updates, because Mozilla has a quick release schedule today. But still there are some big improvements in Firefox 7.0.
Desktop browser for Windows, Mac, and Linux version 7 is designed to use memory more efficiently, more quickly to open a new tab, and perform better when a browser tab is active. HTML5 games and animation also runs faster when run in Firefox 7.
If you are using Firefox Sync to keep your bookmarks and passwords are synchronized between computers, Firefox is also making a faster synchronization.
Firefox version HMTL5 Android also includes improvements, support for copy and paste from websites to email, SMS, or text fields, and support for WebSockets APIs that developers can use to write web applications that can function better in Firefox.
You can download Firefox 7 for Windows, Mac, and Linux from Mozilla.org. Firefox 7 Android applications are also available in the Android Market.
