Samsung LN40C560 LCD Television Review
Our look at the LCD television, ahead of the big game this Sunday, continues on with one of Samsung’s many delightful LCDs–the Samsung LN40C560, a surprisingly potent system that will manage to do a good job on price besides.

The Samsung LN40C560 is a forty inch 1080p LCD television that offers Samsung’s Touch of Color design (Charcoal Gray, specifically), ConnectShare Movie to allow content to stream from thumb drives or digital cameras, a game mode to enhance playback in high speed situations like gaming, wide color enhancer systems, the AllShare system that lets you stream video and audio from your PC to the television, two ten watt speakers with DNSe, AnyNet Plus, four HDMI ports, two USB ports and one PC input.

This is a great one if you’ve got a whole lot of new equipment, or if you’re looking for a television to use as a huge computer monitor, because it’s heavy on the HDMI, or rather, it’s almost exclusive on the HDMI. It’s kind of a tough sale, really, because it’s so dependent on new hardware, or at the very least, a receiver with an HDMI connector. Under any other set of circumstances, this television will be mostly useless to you.

Aside from that, though, the television itself is pretty nice. The sound quality is a bit on the lackluster side having no real augmentation for its dual ten-watt speakers outside of DNSe, but the picture quality is really very sharp, especially for forty inches, which is really about the lowest of the truly big screens.

And considering that the folks out at Amazon want six hundred fifty bucks for one of these, it’s a pretty good setup, assuming you’ve got just the right circumstances for it. The Samsung LN40C560 will not be for everybody, but it will do a terrific job, under just the right conditions.
