Setelah memperkenalkan HTC Legend dan Hero, kini HTC memperkenalkan satu handset yang memiliki spesifikasi tinggi dan lebih kecil, dengan power Windows. HTC Desire tampak sama dengan Google Nexus One yang juga dibangun oleh HTC, namun HTC menjanjikan Desire akan menjadi smartphone tercepat di pasarnya dengan processor Snapdragon 1GHz dan RAM 576MB. Dikombinasikan dengan display berukuran 3.7 inch touchscreen, HTC Desire didesain untuk support web browser dan Flash. HTC Desire akan hadir di Inggris melalui T-Mobile dan Orange.
